Mafalda and happiness!
Quino's Mafalda has always been one of my favourite comic strip characters. She is sometimes compared with Charlie Brown and his friends, but her sense of humour is much more acid, and her witty remarks, particularly about politics and social problems, absolutely fantastic. I finally found one of my all-time favourite strips translated into English. Simple text, simple drawing, it's Quino at his best!

Mafalda is one of the most famous Argentine cartoon characters and the most intelligent for sure. Even though these strips are about 40 years old, they are still up-to-date and very representative of Latin American worries and idiosincrasy. The books that collect them are always best sellers. I love this character.
Thanks for sharing.
Where did you find Mafalda's strips in English on the web? I'd like to share them withmy students.

Hi Claudia! My father introduced me to Mafalda and Julio Cortázar many years ago, and I've been a great admirer of Argentine culture-in all its forms- ever since. I 'googled' Mafalda and found a couple of strips in English, but of course most of the results were in Spanish. I find Quino's work is absolutely brilliant.
LOL! I love Mafalda...

I love Mafalda too. I don't know where is it in English in the web. But Ediciones La Flor from Argentina published "Mafalda and Friends" in English a few years ago.
It's funny and makes everybody thinks.
Thanks for sharing. Quino is a geniuos and his Mafalda has been translated to many languages.
Kisses
